Once Upon A Time In Hollywood delivered Quentin Tarantino’s career-best opening last weekend in the U.S., but across the pond, the London premiere has everyone talking about something other than the movie itself. As one can see in the above photo, Lena Dunham went in for a kiss — and it looks like she was aiming for the mouth — with co-star Brad Pitt on the red carpet. Let’s just say that Pitt did not reciprocate, and the moment has sparked a vigorous discussion about consent and double standards. A Lena-style public statement on the matter may be coming soon.

Dunham, obviously, is no stranger to controversy and found herself apologizing last year (in the form of a Hollywood Reporter guest-editor letter) for defending a Girls writer who was accused of sexually assaulting a teenager. Previously, she had claimed to hold insider information that she said would prove the victim’s allegations to be untrue, and all of that history (including Dunham’s own disclosure of being raped at age 19) is resurfacing again. Endo joins Stuttgart on 1-year loan – The Japan News

AFP BERLIN (AFP-Jiji) — Japan international Wataru Endo has joined German second-division side Stuttgart on a one-year loan deal, the club announced Tuesday. Endo, 26, arrives on loan from Belgian club Sint-Truiden, whom he joined in 2018 after spells at J.League clubs Shonan Bellmare and Urawa Red Diamonds. “It’s a signing we’ve been working on for a long time,” said Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat. “We’ve been following Wataru’s development over a long period. “Every club wants to have such versatile players in their ranks.” The defensive midfielder won the AFC Champions League with Urawa in 2017, but will now be scrapping for promotion with Stuttgart, which was relegated from the Bundesliga last season. “Stuttgart are a club with a long tradition and one where a number of Japanese players have played in the past,” said Endo. “I want to do my bit to help them return to the Bundesliga.” Endo is the fifth Japanese player to play for Stuttgart, following in th...

Krosa: Evacuation orders and advisories issued – NHK WORLD

With the severe tropical storm Krosa hitting western Japan, evacuation orders have been issued to 850 people in Wakayama Prefecture, 190 people in Mie Prefecture, and 138 people in Nara Prefecture, as of 11 p.m. on Thursday. The instructions urge immediate evacuation. Evacuation advisories have been issued in the Chugoku, Shikoku, Kinki, and Tokai regions for about 370,000 residents. The advisories, a level 4 on a scale of 5, means residents should quickly flee to safer ground.
